Shower remodeling questions
Can you build niches into the shower?
Yes, and we plan them with you. A shampoo niche set where you reach for it, and a shaving niche set low enough to prop a foot on, are built into the framing and waterproofed with the rest of the shower before the tile goes on. They are small details that fit the shower to your routine.
Can you build a curbless walk-in shower?
Yes. Curbless walk-in showers and wet rooms are a large part of our shower work, with the floor and waterproofing built for them before any tile goes on.
How much does a shower remodel cost?
It depends on the room's size, whether the layout changes, and the fixtures and finishes chosen, so we do not publish a price list. We come to the house, measure, and put one price and a schedule in writing before any work starts.
Do you replace just the shower, or the whole bathroom?
Either. A shower can be rebuilt on its own, or as part of a complete bathroom remodel.
Do you pull the permits for a shower remodel?
Yes, where the work needs them, and we manage the application and the inspections. Forestville, Guerneville, Occidental, Graton, Monte Rio, Bodega Bay and Penngrove are unincorporated, so their permits go through Permit Sonoma; Sebastopol, Windsor, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Cotati, Petaluma and Sonoma have their own building departments.
